Frequently Asked Questions

How Much does Telehealth Cost?
A flat rate of $100 includes:
  • A one-on-one telehealth consultation with a licensed FNP
  • Two weeks of unlimited secure messaging for follow-up questions or concerns
  • A 20% discount on follow-up visits if scheduled and paid during your current session
Can I use my insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), or Flexible Spending Account (FSA)?

MedChoice is a cash-based practice, so we do not bill insurance directly. However, we are happy to provide you with a superbill after your visit—a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance provider. Depending on your plan, you may be reimbursed for some or all of the cost. You’re also welcome to use a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to pay for your visit—just make sure your card is set up for medical purchases.

How do Telehealth appointments work?
  • Schedule your appointment, choose a time that works for you.
  • Log in using your phone or computer from anywhere!
  • You will have a one-on-one video visit with a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner to discuss your concerns, get answers, and build a plan that fits your needs.
  • Your visit includes two weeks of unlimited secure messaging, so you can ask follow-up questions or share updates—no extra cost.
Can Telehealth prescribe?

Yes, if it is medically appropriate, your provider can write a prescription and send it to the pharmacy of your choice. We are here to make it convenient.

Please note: Prescription costs are not included in your visit fee and are paid directly to the pharmacy.

Who is Telehealth for?

MedChoice is for everyone — from busy professionals and caregivers to aging parents and growing families. Whether you are managing a chronic condition or an acute illness, receive care from the comfort of your home.

Can I use my account for a family member?

Each patient needs their own medical chart to ensure privacy, personalized care, and accurate documentation. However, if you are booking on behalf of a child, teen, spouse, or aging parent, you can create an account for them and book their appointment.

What if I need to be seen in person?

If something comes up that cannot be handled virtually, we will refer you to a local urgent care or specialist who can help.

If you're having a medical emergeny please call 911

Can I receive medical notes for work or school?

Yes, if medically appropriate, we are happy to provide a work or school excuse note following your visit. It will reflect the date of your appointment, the nature of your care, and any suggested time away or accommodations needed. Please note: While MedChoice visits are provided by licensed nurse practitioners, not physicians, our notes are commonly accepted by employers and schools. If additional documentation is needed, just let us know—we are here to support you.

What if I am a provider interested in joining the MedChoice team?

We are always open to connecting with providers who share our heart for compassionate, patient-first care. If you are a licensed clinician who values flexibility, transparency, and meaningful patient relationships, we would love to hear from you. You can send an email to [email protected] with a short intro and your credentials. We will follow up when we are expanding or bringing new team members aboard!.
